Does anyone have any experience with TVPaint on a 16-inch tablet? Does it seem cramped"? Most tablet reviews talk about Photoshop, which has a nice big canvas on the screen, whereas TVPaint's canvas is a bit smaller relative to the peripheral panels such as the timeline. ![]() "One of my biggest concerns though is the TVPaint user interface. (and of course, no TVPaint on iPad, but I quite enjoy using Callipeg for animation on the iPad, and it's possible to transfer image sequences from Callipeg over to my computer to load in TVPaint, so I can use the iPad when I need the portability ) I find it is not bad for drawing, because the resolution is so high on the iPad screen (2732 x 2048 compared to my Cintiq 21UX resolution of 1600 x 1200.) I have recently purchased an iPad Pro 12.9. For me the 21" screen is fine, but if I had the extra screen real estate of a Cintiq 24" or 27" (or the humongous 32") I am sure I would appreciate it. My own preference is for a larger screen. But if you do want Wacom's stand you pay a higher price (+$500) ? Is that how it works ? Is the standard base price of the Cintiq 24 including the stand, but they will knock off $500 from the original purchase price if you order it without the stand ? (this option for those who will choose to mount it on an Ergotron Arm or similar mounting device). The stand that came with the Cintiq 21UX was functional, I simply prefer the added flexibility of the Ergotron Arm. what ?! Wacom makes you pay $500 extra for the stand ?!! I have a Cintiq 21UX (still working fine after 12 years) and it came with the stand included, but I ended up replacing the stand with an Ergotron Arm, however, that was my own choice to pay extra for the Ergotron Arm. The Pro 16 has pretty straightforward and affordable mounting solutions. The Pro 24 is humongous and I have no idea how I would mount it - I'd rather not pay $500 for Wacom's stand. I would greatly appreciate any insight anyone has. I wouldn't want to use the iPad for TVPaint though - I tried it with sidecar and the screen was too small. I have used Procreate on a 12.9 inch iPad Pro (1st gen) and it's a very comfortable size. On the flip side I am concerned that the 24-inch tablet might even be unnecessarily large for TVPaint. Does anyone have any experience with TVPaint on a 16-inch tablet? Does it seem cramped? ![]() One of my biggest concerns though is the TVPaint user interface. ![]() The Pro 24 obviously seems like the better choice, but I would ideally like a tablet that is portable. I have done quite a bit of research on the two tablets and I can see pros and cons for each. I am receiving the tablet as a graduation gift, and so I am interested in choosing between the Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 or the Cintiq Pro 24 (non-touch), which seem like the best on the market. I am interested in getting a pen display for using the software. I recently got TVPaint because I want to work on traditional animation both as a hobby and professionally if I can.

I'd gladly use it, but it's quite expensive and I'm not very trustful of an unknown software. I've found a software which is apparently doing exactly this kind of catalog conversion, it's called Avalanche for Capture One and trying it it seems to give a much more thorough job at importing lightroom settings. This is probably the biggest blocker from moving to Capture One. ![]() As far as HDR settings, structure, haze removal and perspective correction go they're not really considered. I'm glad the lightroom catalog import function has been added but it still imports only very few settings (as far as i've noticed it just imports exposure compensation, contrast, white balance and crop). I have a lightroom catalog containing around 42000 images, it's my whole life and it contains all the edits I've ever done to my photos. ![]() For comparison, it easily undercuts the slightly more robust Mountain Equipment Lightline Eco (1 lb. However, taking into account the generous amount of 800-fill-power down (7.5 oz.), fairly burly Pertex Quantum Pro shell, and high level of warmth it provides, the jacket is an impressive piece of apparel. for a men’s medium), the Rab Neutrino Pro is not what I’d consider lightweight. Weighing in at 1 pound 4.6 ounces (our previous model clocked in at 1 lb. A synthetic jacket often is our first choice for insulation in wet weather above freezing, but for cold conditions where you won’t necessarily be facing a deluge, the Neutrino Pro is impressively weather-resistant. Additionally, to help guard against moisture seeping through, Rab incorporated a weather-resistant baffle filled with synthetic fibers behind the main zipper. Some skeptics remain-and you certainly shouldn’t expect any miracles-but hydrophobic down does its job of increasing wet-weather performance. The goose down inside the Neutrino Pro, like many high-end jackets, is treated with a water repellent finish to keep it from losing its loft. Should water make it past the first barrier of Pertex, a second line of defense awaits: hydrophobic down. But for alpine conditions when the snow is falling or the ice is dripping, the weather protection and warmth of the Neutrino Pro is an ideal middle ground. To be sure, the Neutrino Pro will never replace the need for a rain jacket or hardshell during especially wet outings. After about 20 minutes of drizzle, water continued to bead on the surface of the jacket and it didn’t come close to wetting out. On a recent rainy day, I purposefully misused the jacket and wore it outside while walking my dog. Unlike the thin shells found on the majority of down jackets, the Neutrino’s Pertex Quantum Pro provides excellent wind and water protection by way of a tightly woven fabric paired with a water-resistant DWR finish. Living in the Methow Valley in the North Cascades-where temperatures often reach single digits during the winter-this will be one of my go-to jackets for cold days.īy design, down jackets are not meant to guard against heavy rain or snow, but the Neutrino Pro provides more protection than most. On a recent backcountry outing where temperatures were in the mid-teens Fahrenheit, I was easily able to boil water, prepare lunch, and lie down on a granite slab for some unsuccessful alpine sunbathing-all with just a lightweight baselayer on underneath. Instead, it shines while setting up camp, casually walking around town in below-freezing temperatures, or sitting still in the cold. In fact, the Neutrino Pro is so warm that it doesn’t wear well on mild winter days or during high-output activities. This all adds up to serious warmth, and much more than you get from a lightweight piece. Finally, the helmet-compatible hood can be easily cinched down to keep gusting winds and blowing snow at bay. Second, Rab chose Pertex Quantum Pro as the shell fabric (more on that below), which is more wind- and water-resistant than the standard shells commonly found on other down jackets, including regular Pertex Quantum. First, it’s packed with a whopping 7.5 ounces of premium 800-fill power goose down (the past-generation model we tested had a little more at 8 oz.). Without a doubt, the Rab Neutrino Pro is one of the warmest technical down jackets on the market. We’ve noted these changes where applicable throughout the review. To see how it stacks up, see our articles on the best down jackets and best winter jackets.Įditor’s note: The Neutrino Pro has been lightly updated since our review, with key differences including the use of recycled materials, a new arm baffle design for added mobility, a slightly lower weight, and marginally less down (7.5 oz. Below we break down our experiences with the Neutrino Pro. This jacket is lofty, relatively tough, and well-suited for the depths of winter. This England-based company launched the Neutrino down jacket over a decade ago, and with a number of improvements along the way up to the latest Pro version, it’s one of the best on the market. So if there’s any brand we can trust to make proper gear for the cold and wet, it’s Rab. A 1/4″ reamer might improve the straightness of a hole by up to 0.005″, but no more. It can only slightly improve the straightness of a hole if it has front-cutting capability. The reamer is only capable of removing a small amount of material from the hole, and it will tend to follow the hole. Performing reaming correctly depends first and foremost on preparation of the hole. A PCD reamer can impart a finish as fine as 8 rms in aluminum. The range for cast iron is 50 to 80 rms and 30 to 60 rms for steels. The surface finish from reaming depends on the workpiece material. For example, you could use our Press Fit Calculator to figure the required hole size and them use a reamer to achieve that size within tolerances. If you need to hold tolerances tighter than +/- 0.002″ on hole diameter, a reamer is probably the way to go. There are other means to create holes with precise diameters and high quality finish on the walls, but reaming is often the best choice for speed and low cost. Another process, such as drilling must rough out the hole before it can be reamed. Reaming is therefore a finishing operating. Reaming is typically done on a milling machine, a lathe, or a drill press. It is also named a McGoldrick–Gerson study, a Lapidus schematic, or a family diagram. Wikipedia defines a genogram as a pictorial display of a person's family relationships and medical history. In simple terms, they help understand an individual's family relationships by visualizing patterns and psychological factors affecting them. This is because they help create an interactive picture of a person’s family relationships and history, which is essential in the medical field. So, when it comes to studying or tracking a family history, a genogram is an ideal representation diagram to use. Notably, this growth in popularity has been realized majorly in the medical field. First developed in the 1980s by Monica McGoldrick and Randy Gerson in family therapy and clinical psychology settings, genogram has since gained more popularity. |
